  1. Note the DA incorrectly reported Rep. Bill Owens as having voting NO on the vote to override the Gov.’s veto of the Health Care Freedom Act. Check the legislative record. He was absent due to the heart surgery he had the Sunday prior to the vote on Tuesday. Of course, he voted NO on the bill when it came up before the House, so we could likely assume that he would have voted just like the rest of the NC Democrats did to vote with Obama and the Gov. to deny the will of the people evidenced by the last election. Irony being that Rep. Owens was lucky enough to have the freedom to choose his doctor and the hospital (UNC) for his life-saving surgery, while he voted to deny that freedom in the future for everyone else. Next time you see the campaign slogan “Party Doesn’t Matter” — better think twice! Democrat party = socialism = slavery.
